Sr. Business Development & Capture Manager

The Senior Business Developer/Capture Manager (BD/CP) must strategize, manage, develop, and produce winning strategies for the capture of primarily federal government professional services. The position requires that the BD/CP plan, develop, and execute successful programs aimed at securing specific business opportunities that may culminate in either awards to Dynetics of limited competition contracts, major task orders under existing contracts, or full and open competitive contracts. The BD/CP will work out of the Dynetics, Arlington, VA office to anticipate, plan, coordinate, and develop winning strategies on specific opportunities. The BD/CP will work with corporate business development staff, as well as technical and support staffs, to ensure that capture plans reflect the best technical, management, and support offerings that Dynetics can make to a customer. The BD/CP will be a primary point of contract with customers in development of Dynetics offerings and communicating that offering to the customer prior to solicitation issuance. This is an executive level position reporting to the Senior Vice President for Strategic Planning and Business Development.

Essential Job Duties will include: Directing and managing the process for the identification, evaluation, capture planning, and pre proposal activities on major business opportunities Coordinating the identification, evaluation and capture related activities of technical staff, support staff, business development and marketing staff, executive management, as well as other corporate staff to ensure that tasks are assigned, followed up on, and completed in a timely and high-quality fashion to ensure Dynetics is well position to capture the business Constantly and diligently seeking to improve the business development process; Overseeing development of strategies, and win themes and technical and management approaches as part of the capture planning and socialize these with customers Representing Dynetics in a positive, ethical manner in all dealings with customers and the community at large Assuming additional responsibilities and activities within corporate business development as needed, including writing and content development of marketing materialsProjecting a professional appearance and cooperative attitude, maintain high ethical standards of confidentiality in representing the company to ensure a professional representation at all times.

Candidate should excellent and effective interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Candidate should also be a self-motivated leader and team player.

Candidate must be a U.S. citizen. A Bachelors degree is required with preference for degree in a technical discipline. A minimum of eight years of successful business development and capture experience is required. Proven success capturing large federal procurements for federal agencies in the National Capital Region is also required, as well as strong technical understanding of science and technology and ability to communicate effectively with technical staff. Candidate must also possess a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of business development and capture planning activities and processes associated with federal government procurements in the science and engineering technical assistance (SETA), homeland security, intelligence, or related sectors. Candidate must have the ability to effectively and successfully lead multiple, concurrent business development efforts in a fast-paced environment; ability to coordinate staff in multiple office locations; the ability to plan, delegate, integrate, and communicate capture plans to a proposal team; and the ability to communicate effectively with executive management and technical staff. Candidate must have the ability to clearly and concisely articulate, in written and verbal styles and be capable of providing and accepting task direction and reporting to executive management. Candidate must also be capable of working in an organized fashion under pressure and working independently.
