Software / Systems Test Engineer

Currently have 6 positions available.

The applicant will be a software/systems test engineer with emphasis on performance testing complex, mission-critical applications. Candidate will participate in execution of test strategies, test plans, reports & metrics for company projects and products; Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills are required. Identifies alternatives in the midst of barriers to progress.Requirements

2-3 year’s development/testing experience with Windows and c++. Understanding of object-oriented programming, familiarity with testing methodology and processes. Ability to learn on a fly and feel comfortable in a fast-paced rapid-development environment.

A basic understanding of some of the following areas, with advanced understanding and a minimum of one year’s experience in at least three areas: 1) Manual Testing (White/Gray Box) 2) GUI Testing for performance and memory usage 3) basic network testing(bandwidth analysis, impact of network conditions on performance) 4) Coverage and leak testing 5) Configuration Management and version control (Rational ClearCase preferred) 6)Mission Thread testing.

Demonstrates initiative, applies personal talent to practical solutions. Regular contact with senior levels of internal work groups within a project and across a single engineering dept. Travel to development facility required. Participates well in team projects and interacts well with others to produce positive group results.

Position will be contract for 3-18 months with option for direct employment.
