Software Lead Test/Validation/QA Engineer (DO-178B, VxWorks)
Two positions available in West Michigan: Your choice of contract or permanent. Excellent company! Direct hire salary range is $90-$125k. The contract position is a 6-12 month contract Software Test Engineer position. Contract rate can be negotiable: High rate Corp to Corp arrangement or W-2 + max per-diem. Responsibilities:
Develop test cases and procedures for embedded software, per DO-178B guidelines Conduct peer reviews of artifacts developed by other team members. Mentor team members on DO-178B guidelines, as applicable to embedded software Ensure compliance with DO-178B processes. Provide lab support as needed. Generate applicable documents supporting certification activities per DO-178B guidelines.
Qualifications required:
Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, electrical engineering or related discipline. Higher degree preferred. Thorough knowledge of DO-178B life cycle processes with emphasis on verification. 4+ years of software test experience. Must have completed certification
life cycle for aerospace software project.
Knowledge of VxWorks operating system and AFDX data bus will be a plus.
