Software Engineer (VHDL Coding)

Experience Required: 2+ years software development experience using C or C++ in a UNIX environment to include:  design, code, unit test, and integration test.  Candidates with little professional experience must possess a strong, related academic track record.

Position involves selected phases of software production including design, implementation, and testing of control and data interface applications.  As a member of a small software development team and larger multidisciplinary system development team, the software engineer will be responsible for assisting in the development of software design specifications, software coding, debugging, unit testing, and system level integration and testing.  Development will be performed in C/C++ and targeted for an embedded system on a VxWorks/PowerPC platform. 

Experience Desired:  Candidates having experience and/or working knowledge in one or more of the following areas are preferred:  realtime application development; embedded application development; applications involving low-level hardware control; use of the VxWorks/Tornado development environment; objected oriented analysis and design; Javascript, HTML and use of the Unified Modeling Language to specify and construct software systems.

Education Required:  BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
