The University Affiliated Research Center (UARC) @ NASA Ames seeks an experienced Software Developer to port one of our applications from hybrid UNIX/Windows-based to a native Windows-based application over a period of approximately six months.
Â
Specific tasks are to port the system identification software, CIFER® (Comprehensive Identification from FrEquency Responses), to a native Windows-based application by converting all UNIX system dependent components (UNIX system calls, UNIX shell scripts, etc.) to their native Windows equivalent in order to eliminate the use of MKS Toolkit as the UNIX emulation layer under Windows. CIFER® comprises components that are developed using the following programming languages: FORTRAN, C, UNIX shell scripts, Perl scripts, MATLAB scripts, and MATLAB MEX-files. The software is currently running under Windows (2000 and XP) through the use of the MKS Toolkit UNIX emulation environment. Â
Required experience:Â
·       Porting software from UNIX/Linux to Windows platform
·       UNIX shell scripting (C and Korn shell), regular expression, awk, and sed
·       Programming and scripting with Perl
·       Programming with FORTRAN and C
·       Software revision control system, preferably ClearCase
Preferred experience:
