Software Engineer III

The immediate position will be focused on graphical interface development but future technical challenges will include database applications, communication protocols, and working with various hardware interfaces. Must be able to work in a team environment. This individual will be providing technical support to product team members and others outside the group. This position is a senior level position requiring at least 4 to 6 years of experience in the field or in a related area. This person must be able to demonstrate expertise in a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This individual will perform a variety of development and support tasks. This position may require some limited travel. This position reports to a senior manager. Specific duties, tasks and responsibilities include: o C/C++ programmingo Graphical interface developmento Development for Windows and QNX(preferred) or Linux operating systemso Experience with multiple computer system architecture with GUI/database applicationso Development experience with multiple communication protocols including IP based protocols such as SNMPo Real time experience preferredThis position requires someone with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
