Software Engineer I

Technical developer to work in a team environment on a large-scale, distributed data processing segment of a project. The task will include working with a group of architects and developers to analyze software requirements, define component application modules, produce code, and support testing and maintenance. The development will be for N-Tiered, Linux/Unix-based systems/components to support the project. These systems are composed of Java, HTML, JSF, Hibernate, Spring, XML, real-time, non-real-time, and other message-based Server side software. The job responsibilities also include ensuring the flexibility of the design and producing quality code that conforms to Raytheon standards. Required Skills: Classes taken in Java programming language and Unix operating system. Motivated, self-starting, committed to task, team player, solid written/spoken communications. Desired Skills: Classes or expereince in distributed computing technology, OOA, OOD, or data architecture. Experience in creating and maintaining a multi-system, service-based architecture. Development experience in web-enabled application development, HTML, J2EE, JDBC, Linux operating system. Required Education(including Major): Bachelor's degree in related software engineering field (e.g., computer science). Must have a 3.0 GPA or above.
