Software Engineer

Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Job Category: IT/Software Development Relevant Work Experience: 5+ to 7 Years Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) 3-6 month contract-*Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder*JOB DUTIES: Candidate will be involved in an enterprise-level software development project.  Candidate¿s primary responsibilities will include design, programming and testing using Java (especially Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE)), XML, and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) methodologies. Candidate will build code that interfaces with databases (Oracle and Teradata), users (user interface) and other systems (either via Cognos or Web Services).  Candidate will apply software-engineering standards, processes, and techniques in assigned tasks.  Candidate may be required to apply J2EE design pattern methodologies, such as Jakarta Struts or Spring.JOB SKILLS: Experience with the following technologies is required: Java, J2EE, HTML, XML, J2EE design patterns (especially Jakarta Struts), SOA development and deployment, SQL, Eclipse RCP.  Experience with the following is desirable: Eclipse IDE, Altova XML Suite (including XML Spy), UML design models (especially Class and Sequence Diagrams), Oracle Application Server, Rational Rose, Rational ClearCase, Cognos, Teradata database development, Hibernate.When submitting resume, please refer to "Java".
