Software Driver Developer/Researcher Description:Work with small teams of researchers to analyze and develop novel operating system level solutions and technologies for Intel 32-bit and 64-bit compatible computing platforms in support of the nation's defense and intelligence communities. Research problems using reverse-engineering technology and develop operating system drivers that communicate with standard PC hardware in C and x86 assembly code. Explore new techniques to modify behavior of common operating systems. Prepare technical reports, present results and demonstrate system capabilities to peer review groups, managers, and sponsors.Qualifications:Requires a BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. 3 years of experience with strong coding skills, knowledge of advanced operating system concepts and microprocessor fundamentals, and a desire to code at the assembly/hardware level. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and on a team, outstanding written and oral communication skills, and good organizational skills. Desires a MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 2 years experience in operating system level software development for Intel compatible 32-bit and 64-bit architectures. Experience debugging at the assembly level with hardware/software debuggers and/or developing embedded systems software. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship. Must be eligible for DoD clearance requiring background investigation and/or polygraph examination.
