Position Summary:
§ We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer/Architect to support the architecture, design and development of signal processing ground station products for our client (a top government contractor)
Education:
§ BS in CS, CE, EE, Math or related field
Required Skills/Experience:
§ 8- 10 + years of overall software development experience
§ 5 + years in a Software Architect role
§ Experience with Object Oriented design and development techniques
§ 5 + years of experience with C++ and Java development- Most of the work is in Java, but the client would like to see a strong C++ background as well
§ Experience with Domain Modeling
§ Strong UML background – Architecture and Design Patterns are a must
§ Must have expert understanding and recent experience with implementing Service Oriented Architecture based systems
Desired Skills and Experience:
§ Experience with RCP (Rich Client Platform); Eclipse in particular is highly desired but not required
§ Previous experience working with military ground stations- developing user interfaces, interfacing with databases and understanding/implementation of signal processing is highly desired but not required
§ A security clearance is not required but is a definite plus
