Senior Software/Signal-Processing Engineer
Pacific Defense Solutions, LLC is located in Kihei on the island of Maui, Hawaii. PDS provides world class engineering and scientific services for government and commercial customers. The team's expertise in space surveillance has made them a critical asset in the Space Situational Awareness community. Our rapidly expanding operation has an immediate opening for a Senior Software/Signal Processing Engineer with a background in real-time, signal and/or image processing algorithm and software development.

Description
PDS is seeking a highly motivated senior software and signal processing engineer with extensive experience in all aspects of software design, development and testing. Software development will be in support of electro-optical systems including space situational awareness (SSA), maritime, and/or terrestrial security systems.

Responsibilities will include design of signal processing algorithms, real-time and/or post-processing algorithms, information exploitation of signals from optical remote sensing systems such as satellites, image processing algorithms, and the implementation of the aforementioned signal processing and algorithms into robust and reliable software.

Qualifications
PhD and four years of experience, or a Masters and six years of experience, or a Bachelors and ten years of experience in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
Must be proficient in either C, C++, Java and/or Matlab.
Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for DoD clearance.
Must be willing to relocate to Maui, Hawaii.Â

Desired Skills
Good verbal and written skills highly desired as well as the ability to work individually and in team environments.
Fundamental knowledge of satellite systems is a plus.
Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) is desired.
