Senior Sharepoint Systems Administrator

Responsibilities The SharePoint Administrator is responsible for the architecting, deployment and maintenance of a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 farm with a clustered SQL server 2005 backend hosted on a clustered NetApp SAN via iSCSI.  Additionally, the Administrator will work with Active Directory, Microsoft Systems Center Operations Manager 2007 (MOM) and IIS serving ~1500 users connecting from the LAN and remote-site offices.

* Designs, installs and maintains enterprise-class MOSS 2007 farm and all related processes including backup/restore, site collection administration, extranet configuration, security, and virus protection.
* Designs, installs and maintains a clustered SQL 2005 database environment (SAN and standalone) and all related processes including tuning, capacity planning, space allocation, monitoring, security, and backup/restore.
* Deploys, installs and maintains Office Communication Server 2007.
* Responsible for Windows server security, high-availability, capacity planning, performance monitoring, tuning technologies and complex troubleshooting and problem resolution of server issues.
* Installs and maintains a Windows 2003 Active Directory infrastructure and all related services and processes including DNS, IIS, MOM, and custom LDAP queries.
* Maintains systems security and integrity concerning data and computing resources and takes corrective actions as necessary, in compliance with company and industry standards.
* Develops Windows scripts for automation of systems tasks such as PowerShell and VBS.
* Responsible for daily administration duties, backup/restore, design the growing infrastructure, provision servers, implement upgrades, work with vendors, etc.
* Provides third level support to customers and IT Staff on issues relating to Windows client/server infrastructure and interoperability. Qualifications * Demonstrated knowledge and extensive experience with SharePoint products and technologies, MS Office 2007, Windows Active Directory/LDAP, SQL Server 2005, IIS, OCS 2007 and Exchange 2007.
* Experience with clustering & load balancing of Windows servers
* Experience with storage technologies such as Network Appliance filers (FC & iSCSI)
* Organized with strong inter-personal and communication skills, both written and verbal, strong initiative, self-motivation, ability to complete tasks on time
* Ability to identify, champion, document and implement process improvements
* MCDBA and MCSE certification a plus
