Senior Requirements Analyst

Aviation EngineeringC4ISR Systems (design, integrate, test, field & sustain)Enterprise Data Management/Data WarehousingEnterprise Information Technology SolutionsFlight School TrainingIntegration of Warfighting SystemsLogistics ManagementSoftware EngineeringSystems Engineering & IntegrationSystems Integration & FieldingDuties and Responsibilities: The Senior Requirements Analyst directly supports the Single Integrated Air Picture Joint Program Office (SIAP JPO) Requirement?s Division by assisting them with the integration and cataloguing of the system requirements for the Integrated Architecture Behavioral Model. The Senior Requirements Analyst will analyze the actions and events leading to the development of Operational, System, and Derived System requirements supporting the Single Integrated Air Picture?s Integrated Architecture Behavioral Model (IABM). The Senior Requirements Analyst will develop the interface requirement documentation, ensure that the system requirements are put into the Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) database, and update the Functional Architecture as required. The Senior Requirements Analyst must be a self-starter, possess a passion for working the DOORS tool, have the ability and expertise to write scripts, and be able to work independently with little to no supervision. Additionally, the Senior Requirements Analyst will create, develop, and write papers, memorandums, and briefings in support of the SIAP JPO Requirements Division as required.Qualifications1. Must be a Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System Subject Matter Expert. Must have complete command of the DOORS tool, and be able to easily navigate information for and within the DOORS database. Knowledge of multi-disciplinary professional system concepts, principles, and practices applicable to the full range of analytic duties. 2. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. 3. Knowledge of engineering organizations' missions and functions, and a vision of where the organizations are headed. 4. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to influence decisions using strategic thinking and negotiate and influence others to accept the decision.5. Knowledge of professional principles and practices in the field of system engineering, aerospace engineering, operations research analyst, mathematics or related disciplines, and their application to space and missile defense systems/operations. 6. Ability to plan, organize, monitor and oversee activities relating to the design, development, modification and analysis of systems and system components, including identification, establishment, organization and implementation of system or operational requirements, objectives, policies and establishment of specifications. 7. Knowledge and ability to apply basic processes of administration, principles and standard practices of management, and techniques of organization, direction, coordination, and control. 8. Knowledge of military practices, organizations and system requirements in order to act as primary resource to decision makers on all operational / system engineering requirement matters.9. Must be able to perform the generation and validation of requirement documents leading to a new and modified DoD system. 10. Skill in applying operational analysis techniques and possession of analytical abilities to establish and improve processes required for effective program management. 11. Ability to integrate internal and external policy issues involving key national and DoD-wide goals and priorities. 12. Possess knowledge of risk management and have an ability to look at risk events, develop risk mitigation steps, monitor the risk mitigation status, and mitigate the risk to a non-event on the DOORS system. Education and/or Training Required: Bachelor?s degree required; degree in the field of system engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, or similar science is preferred. Masters in applicable field is preferred, not required. Five (5) or more years experience Requirements writing and analysis is preferred. Security/Special Clearance Required: Yes. Secret security clearance is required. Top Secret access is preferred.Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. The ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Computer Skills: Applicants must possess an ?Expert? knowledge of the Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS), is required. Should have five years experience or more with DOORS. To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in the use of software tools such as MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Project).Westar/QinetiQ North America is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
