Belvoir, VA. Here are a few more details about the open position:Job Title: Senior ONIR SMESupporting: Technologies Solutions & ServicesTechnologies Solutions & Services of BAE Systems Inc. provides a full spectrum of systems engineering, technical services and ordnance systems to our customers in disciplines essential for successful systems development, operation, and maintenance. Our full life-cycle systems capabilities include system design, integration and test, software development engineering, and maintenance and integrated logistics support. Position Details:A Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the National Geospatial Intelligence College (NGC) is a team member with specialized skills and knowledge in a designated field or discipline. The SME, supports assessments of the organization's challenges using this specialized expertise; contributes to the execution of project or task plan; and helps assess the impact of industry trends, policy or standard methodologies. Activities are conducted in support of the project team's objectives. The SME works closely with senior Specialists or Task Leads. Specific duties may include: *              Participation in cross- functional working groups and other technical exchange forums to assist in shaping and defining the ONIR curriculum from the fundamental through advanced courses. *              Development and revision of ONIR courses that are instructional systems design (ISD) compliant and in accordance with NGC Curriculum Management Branch CONOP. This includes the integration of multimedia course instructional materials, equipment, and non-traditional data. *              Provide instruction in physics, phenomenology, tailored intelligence analysis, exploitation, and imagery product generation utilizing ONIR sensors and associated software applications to support customer requirements from offices within NGA and the National System of Geospatial Intelligence (NSG). *              Delivery and support of mobile training to provide training to external customers (overnight travel required). Qualifications: PhD degree in geographic information, physical science, engineering or mathematics that includes a minimum of 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science and/or requisite civilian/military training courses. Such course work includes, but not limited to, astronomy, geodesy, photogrammetry, computer science, mechanics, dynamics, remote sensing, geophysics, cartography, physics, geology, chemistry, engineering science or surveying. Although not mandatory, it is desired that the course work included differential and integral calculus.  Documentation for 12+ years of work experience included in, but not limited to, the following scientific areas: geodesy, photogrammetry, computer science, remote sensing, thermodynamics, geophysics, physics, or geology. Illustrate current working knowledge of the principles and applications of ONIR, exploitation, and analysis. Document ten years proven ONIR experience. Proven experience as an instructor or trainer for small to medium sized groups (up to 25), preferable in a MASINT/AGI training environment. Successful completion of a military, educational, or commercial certified program equivalent to the 80-hour NGA College, Instructor Training Course.  Training program must include Instructional Systems Design (ISD) or the systems approach to training model, development of learning objectives; methodologies of lecture, demonstration, and practical exercise; adult learning theory, and use of training aids.  Demonstrate current working knowledge or experience working in an intelligence production environment, and be proficient with RemoteView, and associated ONIR software. Additionally, provide proven experience with MS Office and associated software tools, e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel. Proven detailed working knowledge of NGA, Department of Defense, Federal, and Commercial spectral data sources, standards, and models. Proven experience in Quantitative Analysis; Applied Scientific Analysis; Technical Design/Development; Research/Information Gathering. Demonstrate proven excellent writing and briefing skills including command of grammar and business communications style, i.e. the ability to convey ideas clearly and concisely. Individual must be a U.S. citizen and hold a current TS/SCI level security clearance. Final authority for approval to brief rests with the NGA.
