Senior Mechanical Engineer/ Industrial Designer

Innovative Electromechanical Design Firm and manufacturing company is seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers and Industrial Designers in Sarasota Florida.  Company specializes in advanced composite packaging and PCB design for numerous military, law enforcement, automotive and aerospace companies.  We are pros at utilizing structural composites and unique processes within the electronics market.  Candidate will work side by side with a very talented group of engineers who have a no boundaries approach to product development.



Candiates will utilize Pro/E  and be responsible for designing mission critical and harsh environment products.  Candidate will be working closely with our clients and as a part of our team will review, develop and analyze customer design specifications, sketches, engineering drawings, ideas and related issues affecting the future manufacture of subsequent designs; model parts and large assemblies within Pro-E and provide design/modeling suggestion and direction to other employees and work closely with vendors and clients with documentation issues or questions and make decisions during development and manufacture of tooling and/or parts. 

 

Requirements: 

  Capable of rapid visualization of concepts with ability to communicate effectively while managing your projects with a team and hitting deadlines.  These jobs require a self-managing personality and the skills of an inventor.   Minimum of 4,000 hours of Pro/E.   Advanced knowledge and experience using Pro/E is required.   Experience and know-how of Pro/E Surfacing tools is a big plus!  Must be good at verbal and written communication with the analytical skills needed to determine best course of action on projects, i.e., such as most economical process or materials to be used.   Material Science experience with composites (carbon fiber, hybrids), super forming, RIM molding, RTM, injection mold, die casting, compression molding, PCB, flex circuit, all forms of Rapid Prototyping such as FDM, SLA, SLS, RTV.    UL, CE, FCC Certifications and knowledge of Mil spec. standards are a major plus!
