Position Description:The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer performs difficult and non routine manufacturing engineering work requiring the application of standard engineering techniques and procedures. Working as part of a Manufacturing Engineering Group, the primary area of responsibility is supporting developing and mature production programs in the fabrication shop.1.Support the fabrication of the most complex machined parts and sub assemblies by providing timely and accurate NIC programs and operation sheets.2.Assure compatibility of engineering drawings and specifications with manufacturing and fabrication capabilities by reviewing drawing and making suggestions for changes and revisions to enhance producibility.3.Establishes standard times for setup and run of each operation on assigned parts.4.Establish tooling, gaging and fixture concepts. Review and approve tool, gaging and fixture design drawings. Estimates hours required to design and also fabricate tools and fixtures5.Work with Moog suppliers to coordinate operation sheets containing outside and inside operations. Assist suppliers in resolution of problems related to the manufacture of Moog parts.Minimum Education Requirements:B.S. Degree (ME or IE preferred) and a minimum of 5 years manufacturing engineering experience.
