Customer & Product Support (C&PS), Electrical Product Support Engineering Senior Manager
The position is for a Product Support Engineering Manager who will be supporting Avionics Electronics products worldwide. The candidate will be reporting into the Senior Director of the C&PS Product Support Engineering (PSE) organization.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:Leading up to 20 Product Support Engineers (PSEs) Demonstrated and proven abilities in employee development, skill acquisition, performance mgt, MRR activities, etc. Leads the Global Support of Electrical Products Plans and Manages Customer Liaison Budget?Establishes close relationship with Engineering & Technology Organization (E&T) to resolve aftermarket product issues. Ensures Technical Operations Center (TOC) knowledge management solutions are validated in a timely manner by the PSE's. Participates in the generation or modification of C&PS processes Ensures all Aftermarket product issues are resolved through the use of C&PS processes. Perform basic managerial activities such as staffing, planning, scheduling, etc. Ensure that Product Support Engineering, Field Engineering, and Technical Support Operations work together towards the same goal of resolving customer issues. Leads and coordinates the generation of various technical support presentations for various operator and industry conferences throughout the year Attends Avionics Maintenances Conference and manages the development of technical responses for presentation at the conference. Generates Management Operating Review (MOR) packages Coordinates meetings with customers to discuss and plan the resolution of product reliability issues Ensures Service Requests (SRs) are resolved and closed in a timely manner Works with C&P organization to appropriately plan staffing for the required help from engineering. Responsible to ensure assigned PSE knowledge level is maintained at expert level and to facilitate increasing knowledge basis of other Tech Ops departments to a basic operating level Identify opportunities for service recovery activities in area of specialty
Basic Qualifications:Demonstrated technical skills and focus on customer support Four (4) year college degree, BSEE or equivalent Five (5) or more years of relevant management experience Knowledge of aircraft avionics equipment and systems, specifically: Flight Controls, Inertial Navigation and Guidance, Sensor Systems, and Integrated Systems/Platforms
Additional Qualifications:Advanced Degree is a plus Must be willing to travel 10 - 20% of the time Highly motivated individual with strong people skills Must be able to manage multiple problems simultaneously Six Sigma Green Belt or DFSS Certification Strong communications and leadership skills to allow influence across multiple groups in a virtual environment. Self motivated, process driven, results oriented and able to lead with little or no management over site. Proficient in MS Office suite Strong in deploying and managing
