Senior Lead Engineer for Sonar System Development
Description:Develops concepts, algorithms, and designs for advanced acoustic sensors, with particular experience using optical fiber sensors. Communicates requirements, designs, and expected performance to engineering team members, business partners, and customers. Summarizes the impact of trade studies and other analysis to concepts being evaluated. Leads and shapes the efforts of other engineers in developing passive acoustic sensing systems. Requires a background in both the technical and program aspects of large defense programs, an understanding of its development processes and of accepted system engineering practices.SecretQualifications:A Bachelors degree with 12 years experience or a Masters degree with 10 years experience. Degree should be in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field. 10+ years experience in developing fiber optic acoustic sensors and passive sonar systems. Detailed understanding of acoustic signal processing techniques, operations and use of passive sonar systems, and specific experience with development and integration of passive acoustic arrays using fiber optic acoustic sensors.
