Senior Instrumentation Technician

Serves as a Senior Instrumentation Technician providing instrumentation technician expertise and entry level instrumentation engineering support to airborne instrumentation projects on assigned rotary and fixed wing aircraft to support the developmental testing of aircraft systems and subsystems.2. Develops, integrates, installs, operates, and removes non-standard equipment on assigned aircraft. This includes development, investigation, and application of methods and techniques for installation, assembly, maintenance, upgrade, modification, configuration, instrumentation, test and checkout, and fault isolation of equipment, systems, and subsystem problems. Prepares technical packages required to obtain airworthiness approval. Ensures that the data acquisition system meets the requirements of the test parameter list. Performs preflight and post-flight quality control checks. Ensures that FTD test directors are technically supported in the instrumentation and modification of aircraft to meet data collection requirements. 3. Provides programmatic support for small scale instrumentation/systems engineering projects. Interfaces with contractor and Government personnel in order to acquire technical and test-related data. Supports instrumentation engineers on projects involving greater levels of technical complexity. Develops, prepares and recommends corrective actions.QualificationsEducation:Electronics Technical Training7 to 10 years of experience
