Senior Graphic Designer
Our client, a leading aviation company that sells and supports corporate jets globally, is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to work in their Bergen County, New Jersey headquarters. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a world class aviation company whose clients are dignitaries and celebrities from around the globe.
ResponsibilitiesConceptualize, design, produce and retouch advertisements, promotional materials, charitable ads, brochures, logos, signage, exhibits and displays Design and produce camera-ready art including graphs, charts, clip art, posters and digitization of graphics, line-art and photos Create electronically-designed page layouts and imports word processing files into page layouts; Develop and produce web-based graphics, as requested Produce technical illustrations for presentations and/or publication Consult with marketing staff and management to identify graphic needs, budget constraints and deadlines for the project Coordinate the printing production process to ensure quality; prepares printing and other reproduction specifications (selects ink, paper and print quality), inspects proofs for accuracy; recommends contractors Coordinate a graphics and photographic library as well as maintain digital records Provide graphical computer support for the department
Required QualificationsBS in Art or Graphic Design required Minimum of five years design experience with an Ad agency, Art Studio or in-house corporate design department Ability to work independently and supervise the creative work of others A high degree of creativity and judgment is required Must have the ability to analyze graphic and technical information and create interpretive illustrations Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management In-depth knowledge of developing promotional materials from concept to print/production Knowledge and experience dealing with technical specifications and production requirements for print and other types of media Ability to negotiate effectively with printers and producers of creative materials Strong retouching skills desired Familiarity with state of the art design tools, concepts, practices and procedures. This includes specified computerized graphic design programs (Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe ImageReady, Macromedia, Flash MX, Quark Express, HTML, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook) Budget development and management skills as related to the production of digital and traditional media Strong organizational and time management skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines and reacting quickly and smoothly to changes Exposure to the aviation market, photographic experience and fluency in French are all pluses
