US Citizenship required.Under general direction, the Senior CAD Drafter provides advanced drafting and design services by preparing and maintaining blueprints, engineering or electrical drawings for engineering hardware development efforts. Prepares designs and estimates from general instruction and/or preliminary sketches, diagrams or schematics. Prepares calculations, layouts, details and assemblies involving design of equipment and components in accordance with LM standards and practices considering design simplicity and manufacturing economy. Prepares parts list and bill of materials. May recommend modifications and changes for design improvement and simplification. Write and prepare DCO?s at the direction of engineering or management. May assist in the training of lower level drafting personnel.QualificationsThis position requires a high school diploma 4 years minimum experience using AutoCAD software to create and modify facility and utilities drawings. 2 years minimum experience using ESRI GIS software to print basic maps. 2 years minimum experience converting ESRI GIS data to AutoCAD format and AutoCAD data to ESRI GIS format.
