Job Requirements:
If you are a Leader who actively uncovers and seizes opportunities when they arise and proceeds with persistence and determination, we want to talk to you. We are seeking candidates who lead by example and act ethically, honestly and work independently. You will perform electronic calibrations and/or repairs on general purpose and/or specialized measuring and test equipment. As our senior technician you will be expected to make decisions, determine procedures on new assignments and provide guidance to other employees. You will work on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations. We are seeking strong communication skills. You will explain calibration techniques over the phone; proof and edit work by others and regularly interact with technicians, CSRs and Purchasing and customers. You will interact with members of other departments and management. This normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information and sometimes requires the ability to gain cooperation of others. Qualifications General Education and Training - A.A., formal PMEL or equivalent; 8 yr calibration exp. Demonstrated calibration experience with meters, signal generators, oscilloscopes, counters, logic analyzers, curve tracers, RF & microwave and component-level repair skills. . Skills - Familiar with all main calibration and repair laboratory work stations. Field Service - Able to perform all FS calibrations, including fiber optic calibration. Physical Demands Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds without assistance; occasional standing and bending are required. Working Environment Works primarily in a laboratory or manufacturing environment at a SIMCO location and or customer sites; travel may be required to other domestic and possibly international locations.
