Description:
PRA is a small business focused on applications involving EM wave propagation (radar, communications, optics, RFID, etc.) and is looking for an individual to work in algorithm development focused on applications in electromagnetic wave propagation phenomenology.  The individual should have a fundamental understanding of electromagnetic wave propagation such as radar, communications, optics, etc.  The applications will involve modeling and analysis of electromagnetic wave propagation and scattering.  The ability to communicate the challenges and benefits of competing approaches to engineering, scientific, and technical audiences is essential in this dynamic environment, as is the ability to operate effectively as part of a small cross- functional team.

Responsibilities: Develop expertise in the areas of radar, atmospheric physics, and electromagnetic wave propagation.

Requirements:Background in physics, mathematics, electrical engineering, or related discipline. 4-8 years experience with modeling and analysis. BS or MS, MS preferred. MATLAB experience. Experience with scientific programming and modeling using any major language (C, C++, FORTRAN, Java, Ada, …). Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills desired.

Ideal Experience:Hands on experience with RF hardware and test equipment. Experience with high fidelity RF link modeling and simulation. Time series processing.Experience with digital signal processors, FPGAs, or embedded systems.
