The work environment is fast-paced and high-energy. Essential Functions 1. Provides System Engineering design expertise & technical leadership that yield innovative & cost effective customer solutions 2. Works with customers to establish high-level systems requirements & provides technical oversight to insure that customer requirements are met 3. Generates conceptual systems design from systems requirements. 4. Generates conceptual systems cost/schedule approach for systems effort. 5. Supports large systems proposal efforts. 6. Interfaces with customers to facilitate new development opportunities 7. Mentors System Engineering staff plus provides employee development & performance management Job Requirements: · Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or closely related field. · At least ten years related experience in Systems Engineering, Systems Design, and Systems processes within the Defense and/or Space industry. · Well versed in requirements using DOORS and development of system design using current modeling tools. · Experience with Secure Communications (COMSEC) and Cryptographic Key Management Products is a plus. · AN ACTIVE (CURRENT OR WITHIN PAST 2 YEARS) U.S. GRANTED SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE. TS Preferred. · Excellent communication & interpersonal skills required. · Inter, intra-departmental and external contact required.
