The Company
Our client is a world class manufacturer of propulsion systems for both human-rated and unmanned space launch vehicles, strategic missiles, global strike missiles, and missile defense interceptors. Our client serves both commercial and governmental customers, including prime contractors, NASA, and the US Military.
The Position
The Synthesis and Characterization Scientist, Level VII, will conduct independent research in energetic and related materials synthesis and characterization. This Senior-Level Scientist will design and develop creative approaches to identify, synthesize, and characterize compounds of interest to commercial customers. The Scientist will develop relationships with customers and bring contracted technology function into the Research and Development organization.
Candidate Qualifications
The candidate must have a PhD in Chemistry, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in chemical synthesis and characterization. In addition, candidates should have the following:Strong oral communication and presentation skillsTechnical writing abilityAbility to well in a team environment, strong interpersonal skillsSecret Security Clearance, or ability to obtain clearance Experience in a chemical or government labs is a plus
Compensation
The compensation range is from $95K up to $120K+ (depending on level of experience), plus annual performance merit process and annual performance schedule. In addition, the client offers a stimulating environment and an excellent opportunity to make a difference.
