STRATEGIC PLANNER Description: Volt is seeking an ambitious STRATEGIC PLANNER for a contract engagement in the Tri Cities area of Washington state. Are you looking for a challenge? If so, we want to hear from you!This position develops long-range objectives and strategic plans for corporation or major division by identifying internal and external strategic issues that could affect growth and profitability. Scans environment for business opportunities, maintains surveillance over market, and may perform financial analysis of acquisition candidates. Develops and monitors profitability, productivity, and growth targets. May prepare acquisition proposals, recommend financial and non-financial strategic objectives and alternatives, and implement and maintain strategic and operational plans. Plans and coordinates business reviews, resource allocations, organization structures, and financial analysis. SPECIFIC SKILLS:Perform as a scheduler and planner, converting requirements from technical leads to schedules in support of system hardware upgrades, software releases, and preventive/corrective maintenance activities. Must demonstrate good knowledge of critical path methodology, perform analysis and recommend problem resolution, and capable of identifying schedule issues. Scheduler must be able to take action and communicate in meetings with required functional personnel to negotiate actions necessary for effective resolution. Position requires strong communication skills. Candidate must evaluate impact(s) on schedule related to changes in customer and program requirements; candidate must possess the ability to prepare status reports and metrics, and make presentations as required.*Volt is an equal opportunity employer* Requirements: Performs duties as a planner and scheduler, converting requirements from technical leads to schedules.
