SOCOM Supervisor

The company designs and builds armored vehicles and subsystems for the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, and international customers, and is the defense industry's largest supplier of armored military vehicles.Description of Work: • Provide supervision for up 15 team members by assigning tasks based on skills, abilities, and workload using mission priorities to maintain SOCOM fleet operational readiness of 90% or above. • Set priority of effort for SOCOM fleet of up to 70 Stryker platforms in unscheduled maintenance, scheduled maintenance and repair parts processing. • Coordinate and interface with customer representatives at Regimental command levels as well as senior program manager office representatives. • Conduct hands on training or sustainment training program for General Dynamics Land Systems mechanics and United States Army Mechanics, Operators or Leaders. • Supervise and perform preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on Stryker and other support equipment. • Supervise and troubleshoot and correct malfunctions in automotive systems (full up powerpack FUPP (engine, transmission, cooling), fuel, exhaust, driveline and suspension ) using built in test equipment (BITE), test equipment and/or manual troubleshooting procedures (MTPs), common and special tools and applicable technical documentation. • Complete maintenance and administrative forms and other paperwork related to performance of duties. • Provide supervision and leadership for 12-15 person team supporting the US Army in peacetime and war. • Provide supervision and property accountability for all assigned property. • Supervise personnel in accordance with ISO processes. • Supervise personnel readiness (hiring, finance, deploy ability, safety and discipline). • Manage assigned authorized stockage lines (ASL) to support SOCOM operations. • Perform duty as site supervisor at multiple locations in Iraq; Life support, Environmental, Hazmat, Safety, Fire prevention and administrative functions. Job Requirements: • Military school trained wheel vehicle mechanic (such as US Army MOSs 63B, 63S, 63W or 63B MCM or USMC MOSs 2147, 3521, 3522, 3524). Documented commercial training and/or experience acceptable. Field experience on fielded Styker variants mandatory. • Five (5) to 10 years of related experience. Equivalent military service acceptable. * Six (6) to 10 years of supervisory experience. * Bachelor's degree preferred. • Strong interpersonal skills, communication (Verbal and Written), and supervisory skills. • Read and interpret troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures and flow diagrams for systems, subsystems and components. • Relocate to vicinities of Fort Richardson, AK, Ft. Wainwright, AK, Ft.Lewis, WA, Yakima, WA, Fort Irwin, CA, Ft. Polk, LA and other CONUS and OCONUS training sites. • Travel to remote CONUS/OCONUS locations on short notice to support contingency operations. Be able to obtain US passport. • Work in improved and unimproved maintenance facilities as well as field environment. • Occasional work in confined space within vehicle interior. • Potential for exposure to temperature extremes in performance of duties. • Physical requirements: Must pass company required deployment physical. • Meet requirements of SP 2-644 • Normal color vision • Dexterity in fingers of both hand • Carry 70lbs (tool box or parts) up to 50'. • Multicultural work experience preferred. • Administrative and office skills required (Microsoft Office, EXCEL and Power Point). • Supply experience in property management.
