SIMULATOR MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN II

FLIGHTSAFETY SERVICES CORPORATION

FLIGHTSAFETY SERVICES CORPORATION is seeking a qualified Simulator Maintenance Technician for Westover ARB, MA, C-5 ATS site.  FlightSafety, a government contractor, provides Aircrew Training to the United States Air Force and Air Reserve Forces around the world.

The Simulator Maintenance Technician II is responsible for analyzing malfunctions, the repair, calibration, inspection, overhaul, modification, re-programming, maintenance support and operation of simulators, trainers, computers and digital image visual systems.  This position requires working any shift (day, swing or mids) as required for successful operations of the C-5 ATS.
 
Ideal candidate will have the ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance and extensive practical knowledge of the theories and practices of electronic circuits, computer theory, hydraulic or pneumatic control and power systems, and many other areas covering a wide range of system applications.  A high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a civilian or military basic electronic program are required.  BSEE or BSME degree is highly desired.  Three to five years experience as a flight simulator technician or equivalent is desired, with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex non-routine problems.  Experience should include component level test and repair of microprocessor-controlled equipment and working knowledge of UNIX and FORTRAN languages.
