SATCOM Engineer

Candidates for this position will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship required. We have the following exciting new opportunity in Stafford, Virginia.

We are seeking a SATCOM Engineer with a particular focus of experience and skills in systems engineering and integration of SATCOM communications capabilities to work as part of a project team. Will be responsible for DoD acquisition documents/policies/procedures. Will prepare/review specifications, statements of work, test and evaluation master plans, detailed test plans/reports, SSAAs, IA strategies, and other technical, and acquisition documents relevant to achieve program milestones and major events. Support coordination and assessment of requirements and capabilities, assist with program integration, risk management, and market surveys/studies, and POM activities.

 Provide subject matter expertise while conducting investigations and studies and presenting recommendations and solutions related to short and long-range program planning requirements. Provide advice and assistance to project officers that directly affect the conduct and attainment of programs goals and objectives. Participate at IPTs, technical exchange, IPRs and other related meetings.



Basic Qualifications: BS in a technical discipline and 5 years of experience in SATCOM engineering and systems implementation Ability to work independently and unsupervised, as well as part of an IPT  . Current or within scope DoD Secret Security clearance required.

Desired Qualifications: Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc.) Experience with MAGTF C4I programs; Specific combination of experience with GBS, SMART-T, AEHF, LMST, GMF TACSAT, HC3 and other USMC satellite communications capabilities 3 years of experience with DoD acquisition policies/procedures
