Chenega Technology Services CorporationJob Description Company Job Title: Requirements Analyst IIIChenega Job Title: Analyst III Location: Lorton, VA Reports To: Sr. Engineer Manager FLSA Status: Full-time/Exempt SummaryProvide requirements support of Enforcement Technology (ET) equipment supporting US Customs and Border Protection and Office of Border Patrol. The Requirements Analyst has the primary responsibility to elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify, and manage the needs of stakeholders. Upon establishment of the requirements baseline, the focus is shifted towards the management of the requirements specification and verifying the fulfillment of all requirements via the Requirements Traceability Matrix. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position• Elicit requirements via interviews, document and business analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, IPT meetings, competitive product analysis, task and workflow analysis, and/or viewpoints. • Participate in peer reviews of work products derived from requirements specifications to ensure that the requirements were interpreted correctly. • Decompose high-level business and user requirements into functional and technical requirements specified in an appropriate level of detail. • Define quality attributes, external interfaces, constraints, and other nonfunctional requirements. • Participate in requirements prioritization during peer reviews and inspections of requirements documents. • Manage requirements traceability information and track requirements status throughout the project. • Write requirements specifications according to standard templates and lead requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable, and that they conform to standards. • Represent requirements using alternative views, such as analysis models (diagrams), prototypes, or scenarios, where appropriate. • Manage changes to baseline requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools. • Establish and implement effective requirements practices, including use and continuous improvement of a requirements process. Assist with the development of the organization’s requirements engineering policies, procedures, and tools. • Other duties may be assigned.Supervision NoneMinimum Qualifications• An understanding of requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, verification, and management practices and the ability to apply them in practice.• Establish and implement effective requirements practices.• Demonstrate oral/written communication competency skills to communicate information effectively to stakeholders, customers, managers, and technical staff regarding their needs and expectations, as well as document essential requirements information. • Demonstrate analytical competency skills to evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements.• Demonstrate facilitation competency skills to lead requirements workshops.• Demonstrate organizational competency skills to prioritize and plans work activities and cope with rapidly changing information.• Demonstrate modeling competency skills to represent requirements information in graphical forms that augment textual representations in natural language.Education and/or Experience • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field and 4-6 years related experience. Minimum 4 years experience leading Requirements Management activities and developing requirements documentation.• Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills• Must have a strong working knowledge of MS Office applications• Must be able to prioritize and work well under pressure with self motivation and initiative.• A strong work ethic, high motivation, the ability to work with minimal guidance, and the desire to work and succeed in a rigorous and challenging business environment• Experience in report preparation and technical writing.Computer Skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office, VISIO, MS Project.• Familiar with SharePoint and Dimensions.• Knowledge Rational RequisitePro is a plus.
