We are currently seeking a full-time Receiving Inspector for our Brea, CA office to perform timely and accurate receiving inspection activities on the majority of products, including all rubber and some metal products, to ensure full compliance to product requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Perform all aspects of receiving inspection activities, including visual and dimensional inspections, on a majority of product material types, including all rubber and some metal products, per departmental procedures, requirements and specifications.
Verify material certifications and technical requirements for adherence to material parameters and resolve any discrepancies between planners, material and approved sources.
Assist in the resolution of non-conformances received from vendors
Perform/generate first article reports for assigned product types.
Perform administrative and technical tasks required for the timely completion of the calibration of all inspection equipment.
Work on project-based activities as assigned by the department manager.
Perform other duties as required by the team lead or management.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education Requirements
High School Diploma or GED and additional vocational courses or technical training in areas such as blueprint reading, CMM and usage, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and calibration concepts/techniques

Experience Requirements
2-3 years of experience in quality receiving inspection for aircraft/aerospace parts

Specific Industry or Job-Related Knowledge Required
-Knowledge of aircraft/aerospace industry and customer product specifications
-Experience working with multiple quality systems standards including ISO, AS, customer and regulatory requirements
-Knowledgeable in inspection techniques and inspection tools usage

Computer Skills
Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite applications including Word and Excel

Proficiency with Tools, Equipment, and Machines
Inspection tools/machines (comparator, depth gauge, gauge blocks, compass, thread gauges, etc.) as well as general office equipment (computer, scanner, copier, etc.)

Physical Ability
Sufficient physical abilities including standing, sitting, reaching, walking, etc. to perform inspection activities on a wide variety of parts varying in size and shape and the ability to lift up to 25lbs on a regular basis throughout the day.
