Description:Design, develop, evaluate and analyze electronic circuits to ensure compliant performance within the environmental radiation requirements of various commercial and government space borne systems. Position involves working alone, within an integrated product team, alongside other systems engineers, with suppliers and in a technical subcontracts oversight role. Specific responsibilities involve the identification and mitigation of radiation effects at system, module, circuit and componant levels. Responsibilities in this position include the development of system concepts, trade studies, system requirements, worst case analyses, test plans, reliability predictions, customer presentations, technical proposals and subcontractor evaluations. Must have a thorough understanding of radiation effects on electronic devices within communication systems. This includes RF receivers, signal processors, ASICs, FPGAs and memory devices. Knowledge of legacy government and commercial space communications systems and programs is desired. Must be self-motivated and able to effectively work on multiple new business opportunities, concept developments and hardware implementation projects simultaneously.TS/SCIQualifications:MSEE with minimum of 8 years or BSEE with a minimum 10 years of recent related experience. Must be able to clearly express ideas in written and verbal form. Applicant must be capable of obtaining a US Government security clearance and able to pass an extended background investigation (EBI) for this position. A current SSBI/EBI with polygraph is highly desired.
