We have an immediate need for an experienced engineer with expertise in control systems/robotics/AI. ROBOTICS/CONTROL SYSTEMS/AI ENGINEER (E04) Job Responsibilities 1. Develop and implement new robotics control policies and AI algorithms 2. Develop test procedures and conduct experimental evaluation of the control policies and AI algorithms 3. Perform dynamic simulations and quantitative analysis of the control and AI algorithms 4. Provide technical support as needed during system design and project planning 5. Write technical reports, papers and proposals 6. Prepare presentation material and present results at meetings Basic Qualifications - Ph. D Engineering (EE, ME or CS or Physics) with practical and theoretical experience in robotics or system control or M.Sc (Eng., or Physics) + 4 yrs. practical experience in robotics and/or system control - Linear Control (Theoretical and Applied Experience) - System Dynamics theoretical and practical knowledge - Hands-on experience (experimental background in control systems and robotics) - Ability to travel: approximately 5% of the time - Ability to obtain a secret clearance Desired Qualifications - Working Knowledge in: - Robotics - Robot Kinematics and Dynamics i. Forward and Inverse dynamics algorithms -Articulated Body Dynamics ii. non-linear dynamics - Applied Robotics Control (theoretical and practical) i. Position and Task Space Control ii. Operational Space Control iii. Force and Hybrid-Position-Force Control iv. Ideal candidate will have experience in: 1. Humanoid and Legged Robots Control 2. "Intelligent Control" a. Learning methods (statistical, and/or others) b. Movement and behavior primitives methods 3. Autonomous robot control (UGV, UUV) - Applied System Control (theoretical and practical) i. Non-linear control ii. Optimal control and filtering methods iii. Adaptive control - Actuation and Sensing Technologies (theoretical and practical) i. Servo-hydraulics ii. Electro-magnetic actuators and transmissions iii.
