More than 1000 employees of SVTAD provide the expertise to ensure customer success through the development and execution of innovative and comprehensive test, verification, and validation strategies, processes, tools and techniques. SVTAD employees are involved in all aspects of test including: design-for-test, integration, subsystem and component level testing through sell-off of IDS ' most sophisticated systems and technologies. RAID Systems Integration and Test Engineer II Computer Modeling Simulation Development Data Analysis Systems Engineering Join this small, tight, highly visible team and perform technically challenging assignments which will directly contribute to protecting our nation and our allies war fighters. Your work will culminate in the testing and fielding of sophisticated radars, defense systems and sensor technologies needed to defend the battlefield, valuable US assets, allies and the homeland from attacks by conventional and nuclear ballistic missile threats. You will work as part of our team in performing hardware and software verification on Surveillance and Weapon Control software. Your tasks could include making updates to test plans and test procedures and test scripts, developing test and data analysis tools, executing test procedures, analyzing results. You will also create of Test Reports, and be involved in peer reviews. You will get the challenge of investigating and understanding system performance issues and writing trouble reports against the requirements, hardware / software and procedures. This role may also include interacting with the customers at customer meetings, qualification-testing events, and while responding to our customers' questions and actions. A successful candidate for this role will bring a strong knowledge of trade studies skills, a passion for understand data presentation methods, possess strong technical, analytical, and writing skills, and will display customer focus and collaboration skills and a business demeanor required for successful customer collaborations. Documented high performance and success in these roles have provided some of our talented and driven systems engineers into larger roles of increasing responsibility such as task leads, lead systems engineers and Integrated Product Team IPT leads. You must be a highly motivated "self-starter" and possess strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills and must be capable of working well within multifaceted teams or at times independently to research solutions and bring about the resolution of complex problems. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor of Science in an Engineer or Technical Discipline - 6 + years overall experience in developing, integrating and testing complex electromechanical systems Desired Qualifications * Demonstrable experience with trade studies * Effective communication with team members and customers * Strong technical writing and the ability to document and present analysis and test results * Demonstrable experience with interpreting engineering drawings including release and CN processes * Demonstrable an understanding of the roles of other engineering entities * must be a dedicated and involved worker * Demonstrable experience working in both manufacturing and field environments * Working knowledge or experience with basic understanding of electrical engineering, networking and software practices * Demonstrable experience in providing innovative solutions to complex problems in a timely manner * Demonstrable experience and or a willingness to explore engineering activities that are outside of the "comfort zone" * Demonstrable experience that displays strong organizational skills * Demonstrable experience that displays strong presentation and interpersonal skills * Detail-oriented self-starter that can effectively function independently or in a team environment * Experience in verification, validation, integration, flight test, field test and/or analysis * on a DoD or Missile defense programs * Experience in developing real-time simulations or models for a hardware-in-the-loop test environment * Working knowledge or experience with Configuration management approaches * Experience in software/systems integration planning and execution * Working knowledge or experience with Surveillance or Weapon Systems knowledge * Business and program improvements through process improvement methodologies * Working knowledge or experience with CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) * Masters of Science in an Engineering discipline, system engineering, or hardware engineering Travel Time: Approximately 40% Raytheon is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, disability, or Vietnam era, or other eligible veteran status, or any other protected factor.
