R08 - Software Engineer I
MPC Products Corp, an industry leader in the design and production of Aerospace Motion Control systems seeks Software Engineer II to join our Software Engineering team. The successful candidate will be required to perform a variety of Software Engineering functions including requirement definitions, design, coding, and verification activities. Will focus on designing and writing embedded software for Aerospace and other safety critical system applications. Will write software documentation and assist with software planning efforts. Candidates must have a Software Engineering background with strong C and Assembly level programming (C++ is also desirable). Must have the ability to write software that directly interfaces with common hardware components related to Embedded Software Design (Microprocessors, UARTs, NVM, etc). Must have experience writing software that performs low-level operations. The candidate must be familiar with software development tools including editors, compilers, linkers, debuggers, version control, etc. Must have knowledge of the software engineering lifecycles and have the ability to adhere to development standards.Candidates are required to have 1-3 years of professional experience involving Embedded Software Development related to real-time control systems. Must have a Technical BS degree ie. BSEE, BSCE, BSSE. Experience writing software for RS-232/422, ARINC-429, CAN and other common communication medium. Candidates are required to participation in software verification efforts including writing software tests cases, performing memory/timing analysis and document/code peer reviews. Previous knowledge of PowerPC, Matlab/Stateflow/Real-Time workshop and/or RTCA/DO-178B is a plus.
