R08 - Motors Project Engineer

MPC Products Corp, an Industry leader in the design and production of Aerospace Motion Control systems is seeking a Project Engineer to join our E-M Components Team. The Project Engineer will be involved in the Design and Development of MPC Blushless DC Motors for the Aerospace Industry. The position requires a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with any magnetic background or experience is desired. General knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is also required. Mathcad is expected. The responsibilities in this position will include design of hardware, customer interface, and concurrent design of electromechanical systems. Responsibilities also include building and testing of prototype hardware through the transitioning of designs into a production environment. Previous motor experience would be preferred, but is not required. Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude are required. Familiarity with electromechanical systems (including gearing, motor controllers, and rotary position transducers) is also benefical. Previous motor or motion control experience would be helpful but not required.
