Quality Engineering Intern - Junior
Providing management visibility into the H/W development process and change activity. Support continuous H/W process improvements, via recommendations from evaluation findings. Provide detection and prevention of H/W product defects through evaluations, assessments, and audits of H/W products/processes. Provide reduction of H/W program risk. Coordinate input to proposals on HQE effort. This internship is a year-round internship with full-time hours during the summer and 20 hours per week during the school-year. Required Skills: Understanding of Hardware Quality Assurance, Hardware Development, and/or Quality Engineering. Familiar with Hardware Process, and/or hardware development, (requirements, design, coding, and testing). Familiar with desktop computing and application programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Ability to receive security clearance. Must have 3.0 GPA or above. Desired Skills: Strong interpersonal skills. Some experience/training with problem solving techniques an asset. Working knowledge of production/manufacturing processes a plus. Required Education: Pursing a B.S. in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Math, Electrical Engineering or Information Technology.
