The successful candidate will demonstrates the ability to weigh program quality risks and make progress in the face of uncertainty. Willingly takes on quality issues and commits to solutions. Lead QA efforts for test automation. Participate in the full product lifecycle (requirements, design, development, test, release, customer support). Develop and implement test strategies. Develop and implement QA and I&T Test plans. Prepare reports and metrics as required. Manage defects to a timely resolution. Contribute to test automation. Other duties as assigned. Generally works within an identified work group. Day to day direction usually from technical lead or integrated product team leader.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Science or equivalent technical field or the equivalent experience is required. Master's degree is preferred. In addition, a minimum of three years of directly related experience is required. A minimum of five years of experience is preferred 1) Configuration Management and version control knowledge 2) Build and Release systems (ClearCase preferred) 3) Process/performance tracking and metrics 4) Performance monitoring and analysis Thorough understanding of ISO, CMMI and other QA methodologies and processes. Understanding of automated testing, test automation tools, scripting, and test case management. Thorough understanding of Windows and at least one Unix-style operating system (e.g. Solaris, Linux); Collaborative approach, excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Excellent problem-solving skills, self-starter, initiative and drive.Applicant must be capable of obtaining a US Security Clearance.
