QUALITY ENGINEER
QUALITY ENGINEER
Large manufacturing facility located near Memphis, TN seeking Quality Engineer to join their organization.
SUMMARY
The overall purpose of this position is to develop, obtain approval, and maintain various quality related Contract Data Requirements Listing (or equivalent mandate) documentation for all applicable Customer Contracts. This includes providing Quality Engineering support for all commercial/military programs and products. Essential tasks include interpretation and application of military and commercial specifications, development of inspection and test plans, preparation of lot acceptance reports, and creation of quality related reporting documentation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may
be assigned.
Develop and maintain component, in process, and end item inspection and test plans
Design of gauging, test fixtures, test systems, and inspection set-ups
Provide Quality Engineering support for applicable product lines
Creation of quality management plans, statistical technique management and detail plans,
deviations, waivers, and engineering change proposals
Interpret documentation development parameters from Data Item Descriptions specified in
Contract Data Requirements Listings
Development and timely submittal of lot acceptance reports and pertinent quality reporting
documentation required by the customer
Review of technical data packages to extract and document all quality related requirements
Application of relevant ISO 9001 activities and documentation/record retention requirements
Technical writing and other duties, as applicable
Manages Metrology Lab
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in a technical discipline; and two years related experience; or eight years Quality Engineering/Assurance related experience in positions of increasing responsibility, and the ability to perform technical writing.
