Purchasing Specialist (engineering)

We are currently seeking a 6 month contract (Purchasing Specialist) Engineering Project Assistant for our Fortune 500 client located in the Cedar Rapids, IA market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the ordering of engineering development equipment. Tasks include but are not limited to ·  Coordinate ordering of engineering development equipment. ·  Collaborate with master data workflow, production planning, order administration to deliver engineering units through SAP·  Coordinate on-time movement of engineering development equipment between all RC plants,Service centers, and to our customers·  Update SAP with current equipment disposition.·  Enter data into Access database for tracking purposes ·  Maintain accurate records of engineering modifications (E-mods) and SB changes.·  Coordinates the set-up of project/program meetings. ·  Orders and coordinates the delivery of LRUs.  Requirements for Consideration·  High School Diploma or equivalent plus 7 years experience·  Understanding of part statuses in SAP and the interdependences of these statuses on other functional areas. ( Finance, Accounting, Inventory)·  Familiar with shipping process and product lifecycle.·  Familiar with engineering modification process.·  Familiar with Export/Import Compliance·  Familiar with Microsoft Access or other database tools   Please send a copy of your resume to EricSpence@spherion.com or apply directly through Monster.
