Project Engineering Manager
Salary: 65,000.00 - 76,500.00 USD /year Triumph Group, Inc. is a global leader in supplying and overhauling aerospace systems and components.  Operating in over 50 locations, Triumph designs, engineers, manufactures, repairs and overhauls aircraft components, subassemblies and systems.  A wide variety of products and services are offered through two operating groups:  Triumph Aerospace Systems Group, and Triumph Aftermarket Services Group.The Company serves a broad, worldwide spectrum of the aviation industry, including commercial and regional airlines, air cargo carriers, as well as Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) of commercial, regional, business and military aircraft and aircraft components. Project Engineering ManagerCoordinate, plan, and manage all activities associated with the development and production of PMA and reverse engineering components to support the engineering initiatives to reduce costs associated with repair and overhaul programs for assigned Triumph companies. Position Responsibilities: · Conducts regularly scheduled internal program reviews that detail program progress, deliverables, cost reductions, delivery performance · Manages personnel to support PMA and reverse engineering schedules to meet cost reduction initiatives · Provide regular updates to company presidents and other executive leadership on progress, blocking issues and cost reductions · Acts as the sole focal point for all incoming and outgoing written and verbal communication relating to PMA and reverse engineering programs · Ensures that all programs meet all technical and schedule requirements · Works closely with in-house DER to ensure technical package integrity · Works with all company operational personnel to ensure that material requirements are in sync with PMA reverse engineering programs · Works with purchasing and planning departments to ensure bill of materials usage provides the data required to identify material alternatives · Develop a make or buy process for the manufacture of PMA and reverse engineered parts · Monitors hardware usage throughout the repair and overhaul process to ensure that PMA and reverse engineered parts are accessible via MRP systems · Manage the development of the production package for PMA and reverse parts to ensure a successful transition to the purchasing departments · Work closely with outside suppliers to develop product packages that are in agreement with FAA DER requirements · Coordinates quote, first article and delivery of products to support established schedules · Work closely with quality, FAA DER, engineering and purchasing to develop a process to transition parts to main stream purchasing · Conducts detailed program profitability analysis and identifies opportunities for margin improvement; Leads projects and initiatives to realize margin improvements via PMA and reverse engineered parts · Coordinates and conducts program status review meetings with all Triumph Aftermarket locations Po Position Requirements: · Five (5) years of experience in program management with technically complex program of significant size; · A successful program management track record with PMA and or supply chain introduction in a MRO environment or five (5) years of successful directly related experience in supply chain support in a manufacturing environment; · Prefer aerospace industry experience; · P&L oriented business executive with proven success in program management and cost and supplier control; · Excellent personal computer skills including Microsoft Office suite software such as Word and Excel; · Excellent verbal and written communication skills Effective presentation skillsJob Code : 915 Division/Department : Triumph Air Repair Travel Required : 10-20% Skills : Engineering -> Mechanical Integrity, R & D, Project ManagementCustomer Service -> Phone SupportAdministrative Support -> Executive Level, Office ManagementComputer Programs -> Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word Shift/Hours : First Shift (Day)
