Project Engineer with Management experience - Antenna Design


Radiall AEP Inc is seeking an Project Engineering Manager -Antenna Design Engineering Manager to lead an Engineering Department in the  design and development of antennas and related RF products for the Defense and Military Market.


This position reports directly to the Director of Engineering and will provide management, training and support to department engineers and technician.  Participates in cross-functional new product development, problem solving and process analysis.


Key responsibilities include:

Manage a cross functional team of Engineers and Technicians in the design & development of new product and redesign of existing products as required.
Construct and test electrical and mechanical prototypes of new and existing antennas.  Perform detailed impedance testing, range tests and power handling and application related tests.
Review specs provided by OEM customers and through direct customer interface, assist reaching product design objectives.
Participate in product cost reduction analysis.
Source materials for prototypes and assist manufacturing in the purchase of appropriate materials for production.
Create, revise support and maintain product design, testing and procedural documentation.
Supports the Sales Team in evaluating competitive products in areas of design, quality and performance.
Represent Engineering Department during visits to customers or at trade shows.


 


REQUIREMENTS:


Position requires Bachelors of Science in Engineering and proven experience in managing an Engineering Department.


Minimum 8 yrs related antenna and mechanical design, antenna testing as well as RF signal propagation.  Experience in military preferred. 


To comply with ITAR requirements, candidate must be US Citizen or permanent legal resident.
