Project Engineer - Structural Design, Composite, Aerospace
Based in beautiful Adelanto, CA, we are a large and fast growing Aerospace company. Due to tremendous growth, we are currently recruiting for a talented and experienced Project Engineer with Structural Design & Analysis experience to join our great team of engineering professionals. The Project Engineer must possess Composite Structural Design experience and the ability to lead/mentor a small engineering team using a hands-on approach.Specific duties and actions will include supervising and performing: 1.) Provide technical management for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) projects 2.) Maintain schedules, program plans, and coordinate activities of engineers assigned to project. 3.) Perform requirements analysis, system design and prototyping, coordination of lab, ground and flight test. 4.) Develop and present viewgraph packages and technical documents. Qualifications: Typically requires a Bachelors degree, Masters degree or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Structural Engineering or related technical field and progressively complex engineering experience as follows:1.) 6+ years of experience with a Bachelors degree; 4+ years of experience with a Masters degree; or 2+ years of experience with a PhD. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education. 2.) 5-10 years of experience in the Aerospace or Defense industry with a background in STRUCTURAL Design and Analysis for Composite Materials. Candidates must be familiar with Composite Airframe Structural Design.3.)
