Project Control Analyst/Cost Accounting Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities:

 Responsible for provision of accurate and timely reports to all levels of management to bring programs to successful and timely completion at or under cost.Prepares monthly reports and regularly advise Executive and Senior Management on program performance and company financial performance.Responsible for developing a system to provide regular updates of forecasted project performance, with an emphasis on revenue and gross margin.    Prepares data analysis and reporting, EVMS metrics and baseline maintenance, and ongoing program reports for internal and external use.Coordinates with other Financial and Support staff.Participates in monthly program review meetings.Conducts cost management, business analysis, and schedule control activities.  Analyzes Integrated Master Schedules.Provides guidance on Earned Value data.  Collects and analyzes data to determine costs of business activity.Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.  Records and analyzes cost information for use in controlling expenditures.  Estimates new and proposed product or service costs, and recommends cost efficiencies in new contract efforts.  Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.  Other duties may be assigned.

 Organizational Relationships:

Reporting directly to the corporate controller, this individual will coordinate with various departments, including, Sales, Program Management, Engineering, IT, Quality, Materials and Manufacturing.

 

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field.Minimum 5 years of experience, with at least 3 in a government contracting environment. Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management, scheduling, MS Project.Experience with Deltek a plus.Team player with the ability to work with a variety of people at all levels of the organization.Advanced awareness of key financial concepts.Strong written and oral communication skills.Must be a team player.
