Programs Director
JMWA is looking for an experienced Director with military experience!Position Description: Provide leadership, management, and business development within a business group for J.M. Waller Associates, Inc. supporting predominantly military clients with engineering, environmental, facilities, and logistics professional and technical services. Coordinate and monitor the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of programs; Negotiate contracts and contractual changes; Coordinate preparation of proposals, plans, and specifications; Plan, develop, and execute business development goals and objectives; Manage employees located in various locations throughout the Continental United States and in oversees locations. Aggressively market new work in existing lines of business including: Facilities, Environmental and Logistics management. Work closely with VP to develop new lines of business and to expand business to new clients.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree preferred. Seven or more years of direct relevant experience in a similar capacity. Experience with military project / program management and federal contracting preferred. Prior experience (military, contractor or civil service) with the Department of Defense, particularly with installation public works / engineering, environmental and/or logistics management. Experience with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers highly desirable. Exceptional oral and writing communications skills required. Professional certification, registration, or credentials in a relevant field are highly desirable (e.g. PE, PMP, CCM). “Hunter” level business development skills strongly preferred! J. M.
