Additionally, ADSS develops and maintains COTS software products designed to provide rapid development and deployment of simulation based training systems. These COTS software tools include simulation networking, visualization, management and analysis capabilities utilizing standard High Level Architecture (HLA) and Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) simulation protocols.This position is for a Program Manager for various training and simulation programs in the Battle Command and Combat Platform Business Area within the Battle Management Systems Division (BMSD) of GDC4S. As the Program Manager, you are responsible for the profit and loss of the program, customer satisfaction, leadership, and the total program performance. As the Program Manager, you are the senior Customer and User first point of contact to help them achieve success in their program goals. As the Program Manager, you will lead execution of existing programs, as well as lead business development efforts in pursuit of new programs.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in winning and managing major simulation and training programs, specifically for the United States Army. Relevant efforts would include those involving virtual and constructive simulation technologies, embedded training technologies, training development methodologies, training task analysis, and large-scale distributed software development efforts. Relevant programs include the Army's Future Combat System, OneSAF, Ground Combat Vehicle programs, and DoD virtual training programs. The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of US Army training organizational structure, acquisition processes, and industry's embedded training capabilities.A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or MS in Management is required, or equivalent. In addition, a minimum of 15 years experience and demonstrated favorable results in Senior Program Management, in a leadership capacity is required. A minimum of 8 years directly related experience as a Program Manager in a Department of Defense (DOD) related industry or equivalent experience as a DOD acquisition executive. Advanced degree is strongly preferred. This position requires in-depth knowledge of advanced project/program management techniques and requires familiarity with federal acquisition regulations. Must have past proven experience building an industry team to propose and execute a significant DOD program and experience in influencing customer’s acquisition strategies to better align with industry capabilities and roadmaps.A past proven ability to lead large programs to meet current and long-term business strategies, ensuring execution of all phases of multiple simultaneous programs throughout the lifecycle from proposal, development, production, logistics and lifecycle sustainment is required.
