Product Development Engineer – Metallurgy Responsibilities: Ø Design of new alloys to meet specific application and manufacturing cost criteria Ø Lead failure investigations and participate on problem solving teamsØ Perform daily floor process monitoring and maintained control chartsØ Lead R&D projects under strict guidelinesØ Testing composition in the laboratory through destructive and non-destructive testing methodsØ Write documents, manuals, investigations and reportsØ Interpret customers' manufacturing design requirements and product applicationØ Review metallurgical and process failures, metallurgical dispositions and determine corrective actions Requirements: Ø BS in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Metallurgy or similar discipline. Advanced degree a plus Ø Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in cold rolling, hot rolling, casting or finishing within R&D, Process Engineering or Manufacturing environments.Ø Familiarity with Six Sigma with a diversified background in Continuous Improvement Methodologies including: Lean, Kaizen, 5S, TQM, SPC, FMEA, TPS, TPMØ Excellent verbal and written communication skills Resumes forwarded as a Microsoft WORD document attachment are preferred.
