Producer/Video Editor Description:Responsible for creating highly effective video communications. Plan, schedule and implement video productions. Work closely with customers and TST production team. Combine script, visuals, graphics and music using Apple non-linear editing hardware/software. Create visual effects, motion effects and graphics to help communicate concepts. Combine sound, other audio and music for final soundtrack. Publish final video production using DVD and other digital media authoring tools, including videotape. Use technical expertise in graphic design, editing or electronic publishing to produce communication products within specified timeframe, budget constraints and technical specifications.Plan, develop and execute video productions including, studio production, location acquisition, graphics, narration, music and editing. Produce "rough cut" for customer reviews. Conduct interactive development of final product. Edit video on an Apple Final Cut Professional system. Choose appropriate shots based on action, pacing and juxtaposition. Work closely with customers to satisfy creative and communication needs. Plan, schedule and complete production. Estimate production schedule, cost and necessary resources through interactive planning with Executive Producer. Plan and schedule necessary resources with production team. Manage all elements to ensure successful completion of project delivery.Verify performance of production equipment in accordance with industry standards (SMPTE, NTSC, IEEE, etc.) Quality control final production to ensure usability on destination devices and formats. Perform encoding/duplication to meet customers' requirements. Other duties as required.Qualifications:Required: Bachelor's Degree in Radio/TV/Film, Journalism or Communications - or equivalent years of related professional work experience. At least ten years of editing and/or video production experience. Extensive experience creating video productions using Final Cut Pro editorial software, Adobe Photoshop CS3, Apple Motion software, and Adobe After Effect. Exceptional creative ability to synthesize large amounts of video to tell a story. Ability to work as part of a highly collaborative team. Possess highly effective customer interface skills in addition to good presentation and writing skills. Demonstrated ability to manage projects from script to screen. Provide a production sample reel. Extensive knowledge of video hardware and software. Desired: Scriptwriting experience. Experience with graphics, motion effects and image composition. Proven ability at lighting, effects and direction. Experience using professional broadcast cameras, studio, lighting, grip, and audio equipment.
