Process Engineer
Our client, a successful, growing company in the defense industry is looking for someone with the following experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
A Process Engineer is responsible for creating, documenting, developing and implementing procedures used in the process and manufacture of The Company’s products. The Process Engineer is also responsible for following quality systems procedures, as required. Improve overall process and related issues including process development, process documentation, problem solving and program management. Perform in-process monitoring and process failure analysis. Develop new process controls and reduce process variability. Develop new and modify existing processes to reduce raw material usage and labor costs. Collaborate with Engineering Department and vendors on the development of new manufacturing equipment. Validate and transition new equipment and tooling into production. Other duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
B.S. in Material Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, other related Engineering field or equivalent. Two to Five years experience in the Process Engineering field. Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DoE). Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing experience a plus. All candidates must be a US Citizen because of the nature of the work involved.
