Skills Needed:Working knowledge of environmental testing, procedures, and requirements is required. Specific experience with military or aerospace programs in accordance with MIL-STD-1540 or MIL-STD-810 is preferred. Test data reduction experience including spectral analysis (SRS and PSD) and filtering is desirable. Experience with analysis of electronic components a plus. Ability to perform fundamental analytical modeling techniques and prepare written analyses is required. Working knowledge of MS Office is required. Working knowledge of Matlab and FEA software required, Patran/Nastran preferred. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Duties Specific to the Position:Under the guidance of a Lead engineer, the candidate will develop environments such as random vibration, shock, and acoustics that simulate launch vehicle operation. Specific duties will include data reduction, test level derivation, component dynamic testing, and finite element modeling. Candidate must be able to understand scope of tasks, perform analysis utilizing appropriate classical and computer aided techniques, and prepare results for presentation orally and in writing. Other duties as assigned. BSME or BSAE required, MS preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience in aerospace or related field. U.S. citizenship required. EOE/M/F/D/V
